1950 WILLYS JEEPSTER PROJECT
My 1950 Jeepster Project
This Jeepster was absolute Rust Free. The prior owner up-graded the car to a 12 volt system. Mechanically the car needed help, I installed a complete brake system including a new master cylinder and all brake lines, repaired the incorrectly installed wire harness, Replaced the windshield and vent window glass, installed a reconditioned transmission and overdrive unit, replaced clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing, installed the correct 12 volt solenoid and relay for the overdrive and many other smaller items. The side curtains were trashed and I had the local car interior shop fabricate new custom side curtains. The paint was also in poor condition and I decided that a fresh paint job was in order. I prepared the car and then sent MAACO to shoot the car the original color and she came out absolutely beautiful. The following are some pictures not in any real order of some of the various tasks. I have all receipts.
This is a fun car and was used over this past summer "2023" as my daly drver, the car is very good on fuel and is averaging 16 MPG in city driving
